Solomon Schechter Academy is a Jewish Day School that subscribes to the dynamic, liberal principles of Conservative Judaism. We are one school with two streams, an English Section as well as a section française. We are an accredited school by the Ministry of Education of Quebec and CAIS (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools).
Solomon Schechter Academy is expanding to provide our students with innovative cutting edge programs in more spacious facilities. The purchase of an additional campus allows us to offer specialty programs to all our students. The creation of our Early Childhood Center at our Dufferin Campus will allow us to house our Kindergarten, Pre-K, and Junior Pre-K under one roof. This will benefit the needs of our youngest students and support our staff in our mission to provide the most fulfilling educational experience for our students.
Our main campus will house our new SMART Floor (science, music,art, robotics and computer animation and technology). Every child in grades 1-6 will participate in these innovative classes on a rotational basis. This is a first in our Jewish day school community and speaks to our commitment to excellence in all facets of elementary education.
The new SMART floor in the main campus will offer all students courses in Music, Art, Computer Animation, Robotics and Computer Science. These new endeavours are firsts in our Jewish Day School community.

SSA engages in fundraising projects throughout the year in order to ensure the quality education that we strive to impart to our students. Some of our projects include a Give or Get project, a Mezuza project, a Kids' Art project and an Annual Fund Raising event. We invite parents to help the academy realize both its mission and its vision by contributing to one or more of our fundraising projects.
