Francaise & English Sections

The Academy offers a Section Française as well as an English Section program.

While all Jewish Day Schools offer a Section Française option, SSA is the only English school that has a completely integrated program offered to students.

The Section Française program enables the academy to welcome families who are new to the Montreal Jewish Community and must enrol their children to study in a French school under Bill 101. Many Anglophone parents opt for the Section Française Program even though their children have the right to study in English under Bill 101.

• English Section
  Students study 11:15 hours of Hebraic Studies per week. They have 14 hours per week of French Studies and 9:25 hours of English Studies per week. English Studies are divided into 5 hours per week of English Language Arts and 4:25 of Mathematics.
• Section Française
  Students in the French Section study the 4:25 hours per week of Mathematics in French in addition to the 14 hours per week in French Studies.
