Activities

Students learn about community and community responsibility by participating in activities such as the annual Federation CJA Campaign and the annual campaign of the Jewish National Fund.

Students also participate in numerous community minded activities promoted by teachers and/or by the Students’ Council. One such activity is the student talent show organized by the Students’ Council twice during the course of the year.

Activities also include the Bible Contest and our SSA Choir. The Academy has a large choir of approximately 100 voices. They participate in the community choir festival, the Zimria. They also enhance other school functions with their beautiful singing.

SSA participates in a challenging Math Competition sponsored by the Quebec Association of Math Teachers. Our school team as well as individual students have attained excellent results in the competition. SSA has placed among the top three several times and has come in second in the province in 2008.
